Feb 7, 2021 · Reaction score. 1. Feb 7, 2021. #1. Bought my first RAM truck at the end of December and since then I have gone to the pump 4 times. The first tank was filled by the dealer. Next time i went to Costco and filled premium. After fueling the truck won't start in one go. Second time, it cranked for about 15 seconds and then started. After a gallon or so goes in the air stops rushing out of the filler tube which is what triggering the pump to shut off , due to the vapors. Yes the simple fix is adjusting the filler tube to a different angle. But I've found that by simply filing it slow for the first gallon. I can lock the handle and it's fine. 3.You can bet your behind side I will get a free loaner or be sleeping at the dealership. THIS ISSUE MUST BE GIVEN A FREE FIX BY THE MANUFACTURER DUE TO SAFETY ISSUES FROM SPILLING GAS.
